Connection to Christ bears fruit. Living Water quenches the deepest thirst.
A branch does not strain to make fruit. It stays attached, and fruit happens to it. Most of our striving is an attempt to produce what we were only ever meant to receive — so before you push harder, check what you are connected to.
And there are thirsts that food and sleep and success will not touch. That thirst is not a defect; it is a signpost, pointing at the only well that goes deep enough. Remain in Him on the mornings you feel nothing at all. Roots do not grow in bursts, and the fruit people notice in a year is being decided by the quiet now.
